A New Hue

Yesterday, I had the privilege of attending a fashion show at Abreeza Mall of Davao. The show was entitled "A New Hue" which featured the latest trends and colors of 2013 and the show also featured tenants of the said mall and the famous Davao Elite Fashion Group composed of the city's best fashion designers. It was definitely a successful show and the mixes, matches and designs were really eye-popping. I personally loved the creative designs of the fashion designers. They really showed how creative and playful Davaoeno artists could get.

For this year, the colors and patterns expected to stand out are base colors & patterns such as beige, khaki and linen; cool colors such as sage, goldenrod and cobalt; and warm colors such as cinnebar, creamsicle and goldenrod. These are some of the colors used yesterday.

The first set of photos are the sets from the tenants in the mall. These clothes were picked, mixed and matched by the designers. The featured brands were Nike, Debenhams Artwork, Promod, Tretorn, Parfois, Bambu, Mags, Soul, Blue Inc. London, Nautica, Ellesse, Sneaker club and Bauhaus.

This next set of photos show the designs of the Davao Elite Fashion Group. Each designer really showed how crazy their minds are with these eye candy designs!

Viewing over 50 designs, it definitely was a learning experience for me as a fashion blogger and lover. A new year always means new themes, or in their words, "a new hue" for fashion. I am very excited to try out what's in store for the fashion world this 2013, and being in that show yesterday was a great start.

Congratulations to everyone who made the show successful!

A COMEBACK GIVEAWAY from Blindxx Clothing and TSC!

It has been a while since I sat in front of my lappie to surf the net. I've been really busy working and whenever I get the chance, I just update myself with the latest online news and fashion trends through my phone. So, I AM REALLY SORRY FOR BEING  M.I.A. FOR WEEKS!

Just like me, Blindxx Clothing, a fashion online shop, has been quiet too for some time. And since we were both on hiatus for a while now, here we are, starting off again! And here's a good way to start, a blast for all my lovely readers:
Our COMEBACK GIVEAWAY!

BLINDxx Clothing, even before, never fails to offer up to date clothes and pieces. And now, here's their newest collection:

clan·des·tine  ADJECTIVE: Kept or done in secret, often in order to conceal an illicit or improper purpose.

I have been wondering why they entitled this collection as such. But as I browsed their collection, I realized that each piece has a secret. I love how exciting each piece is because of the cut-outs, deep back cuts, etc. Each simple piece does has its own little surprise. Well, this is how I interpret it.
Here's the official explanation from Blindxx:

"The latest from our brand's cut-and-sew line is out now. It has been 2-3 months delayed but it's finally out. Being the second and last for this year, this collection is like a recital of the young's most favorite trends from the year 2012: pastel, aztec, cut-out, sporty cut, ombre, and peplum rolled into four designs. It is inspired by duality, secrecy, and contradiction.  Spring in winter. Summer in Fall.  Chiffon skirts over sweaters. Dainty spandex dresses underneath trench coats. Pretty girls with secrets. Meek girls with alter egos.  Beauties with inner beasts. I believe in some way some time ago, we have all had ourclandestine."

From Fashionistas To Fred Perry: Buying Women’s Bags

Bags are an essential part of our everyday wardrobe, regardless of what you choose to carry in them. Purchasing a great bag can easily solve numerous issues for women and, despite current man-bag trends, remains an option which does not typically extend to the male of the species.

In order to invest in the correct bag, it’s important to consider where you intend to use the bag in question. For example, if you are a budding traveller, you will need to buy something that sticks to the strict dimensions of today’s airlines. 20 inches in length is a good place to start and, despite being compact it still boasts the ability to fit the likes of an iPad, a laptop, a gym kit and a variety of important documents inside.

A leather shell is bang on-trend for this season’s. Such a style won’t look out of place when paired with a suit either and will look equally as elegant when teamed with off-duty attire.

Go Designer

Designers have brought their accessories to the front line this season, allowing those that intend to lug a daily haul to look better than ever. When choosing an everyday bag, it’s important to consider three things: style, intelligence and practicality. One without the other will create nothing more than a fashion fail.

Fashionistas looking for something a little on the retro side need not look any further than the range of fresh and fabulous Fred Perry attire from Very.co.uk. The brand has been a symbol of style for many years now and, as well as an assortment of high-end clobber, the label also boasts a series of on-trend bags which perfectly
compliment an array of outfits.

Bags Of Style

Bag styles for next season are already starting to bloom, with the top of the crops showcasing stylish satchels, barrel shaped numbers, roomy messengers and buttery leather.

A good quality fabric complete with a hand-stitched finish is a great place to start and as such, will take you from day to night.

Today’s modern lifestyles dictate that we need roomier bags in order to house our many gadgets. Despite this, almost all fashion conscious individuals still wish to invest in something that is not only practical in style but also claims to be eye-catching arm candy.

A bag that means business in both the work and style department is the bag we all aspire to invest in. From the office to the cocktail bar, this season’s bag trends certainly have it nailed.
