shARTs: Addicted to printed shorts!

Love shorts? I don't. I'm ADDICTED to shorts! They can certainly show off your legs (and make them look long), make you look like a hot rock star or even elegantly chic. Denim (unless washed or ombred) and plain shorts are somewhat set aside for the moment while printed shorts stand out. Shorts with floral prints, scarf or handkerchief prints, animal prints, skull prints, or whatever print that is for that matter, are pretty much in and head turners in the fashion scene nowadays.

There are many ways on how to wear shorts as such. One way to make your shorts stand out is by pairing it up with a plain top with simple heels or shoes to go with. If you wanna get a little playful, you can also pair it up with a top that's printed too, may it be partly printed or full of prints and that goes for the shoes as well (or simple shoes will do to avoid overdoing the look). And you could also go daring and sexy by wearing a sheer and see-through top to display those printed and high waist shorts. As you see, there are many ways in wearing shorts since they're pretty much all around and very easy to pair up with probably anything in your closet.

So if you want to try those printed shorts out, or if you're addicted to shorts like I am, go check out OASAP. They have an array of shorts that you can choose from and I'm sure that you can find the perfect pair for you there. So go get that pair that has your name all over it now from www.oasap.com! Below are more of the cute pairs that I have picked from their collections since they are truly eye candies! Check em out!

How I wish I have all of these in my closet! :)

Ombre Indulgence

Ombre Polo Top: Oxygen || Ombre Studded Shorts: Jessica's Closet || Wedges: People are People || Matte Pink/Orange Lipstick: Excel Paris

Just before I start...
I am so sorry for the one week hiatus... Erick's grandfather died last week (God bless his soul) and I really had to help out with everything...

Okay, so about this look:
Gotta love ombre. I even tried to have ombred hair, until I decided to color my hair underneath instead. When I got this pair of shorts from Jessica's Closet, I was so inspired to make my own (which I actually blogged about too. Scroll down to see!).

I wanted a balance in this look. I didn't want too much skin exposed since the shorts are really SHORT. Sometimes, you gotta know how to balance a look so that you would still be a walking doll, turning heads as positive responses. I, personally, am not used to pairing up a pair of shorts with a sleeveless top. I always have a cover up or an outerwear. That's how I balance. I already have long legs. I don't want more skin showing. :)

Fashion isn't just about wearing the latest trends. It's also about smart mixing and matching to get that perfect look you desire.

Thanks for dropping by! Do leave your comments about my look, aight? I highly appreciate em!

Mwah!

My Own Pair of Shorts

Artwork Top || DIY Shorts (my old Old Navy's) || Primadonna Booties || Denim outerwear from Gmall || SM Accessories Cross Necklace and Leather bracelets || Excel Paris Volume Uplip Lipstick

If you have read my previous post, well, this is an example of the style I love. This style is so me. :)

Yesterday, I decided to design my own shorts again after almost a year.
And now, here's the finished product!
I'm thinking of making more and selling em in my own online shop (called FADED and TATTERED) where I would also sell make-up (just like that matte lipstick I'm wearing)
I'm actually planning to sell made to order tops and bottoms and make-up, such as MAC.

So, what do you think?
Will you fancy these kind of shorts and make-up?

A Little Twist

Still at home... Please excuse the awkward facial expression.
Photos by Erick Loquez

Top & Robe: B&W Vintage || Leggings: OASAP

This was what i wore last week when we had to sign our notification assignments at work. It's just somewhat like contract signing. The occasion didn't really call for anything formal or whatsoever, but still, I opted to dress up in a corporate attire... but with a twist. I didn't want to look too much like an office girl so I wore this Scarf-print robe and these unique tights from Oasap.com, one of my favorite online shops!

When I saw these tights from Oasap, it was love at first sight! It really has Gelianne all over it! I have that love for edgy outfits and styles (which I will actually share with you in my future posts) just like what trendy girl musicians, rockers and artists wear - black, studs, see-through tops, tattered bottoms... totally rockin! And if you love edgy styles too, or if you simply have a passion for fashion, then OASAP.com is just perfect for you! Go ahead and visit them and I'm sure their collections will remedy your cravings for fashion items.

Fashion isn't all about outfits that show femininity, but also uniqueness and comfort. You may opt to dress-up with a male-inspired outfit but still look fab and sexy. I am not at all a girl who would just sit down and watch games and shows on TV or just shop around and sit to drink coffee in a cafe (I don't have anything against people like that, just to clear things out). Well, I am partly like that, but most of the time, I tend to indulge in sports and music, which may explain why I love edgy styles.

We all have different styles, so just know what you want, dress yourself up, and just by adding self-confidence, I guess nothing will go wrong. Of course, you always should consider the place where you are going :) Just add a little twist if you want to for that additional interest and head-turning effect :)

So how's my outfit? Feel free to let me know your thoughts, aight? :)

Jester

Satchel: Penshoppe

 Top: Trinkets2Keep

Sunnies: Ray Ban

2-tone Leggings: Maldita

Photos by: Erick Loquez

You've already met my youngest brother, Angelo, on my previous post and now, meet my other brother, the middle child, Paolo. He's a smart-ass chemical engineering student at one of the biggest school in the city. I'm proud that he is going well in college, knowing that he choose a really hard course. He's pretty much one of the few students left in their course. haha.

About my outfit:

I really love this sheer top that I got from Trinkets2Keep. It's color is so bold and the prints add up to the boldness of the look. The leggings that I got from Maldita (ON SALE) gave me that edgy feel because of it's colors and the material. Somebody actually said that it looked like a pair of Jester pants, hence the title of this blog. That bag, which is oh so lovely, was a prize that I won in a giveaway contest... lucky, lucky, lucky, don't you think? :)

I am not really a "pants" or "leggings" person. But Erick and my mom once said that I would probably look good in them because of  how long my legs are, so I had to try it out. And I believe they were right! I love how these leggings fit me. I thought that my legs would look fat in these, but they did prove me wrong.

You'll never know if you will never try. :)

Have a great day, Loves!

Carbon Copy

Metallic Bandage Skirt: Trinkets 2 Keep

Batwing Top: Mental

Accessories: Butingtings

About the outfit:

I wanted to look simply elegant and comfy, so I decided to wear this Batwing top which really beat the heat despite the long sleeves. I didn't want to look too plain, so I wore this very cute metallic purple bandage skirt from Trinkets 2 Keep. We planned on going to the mall, so I wore flats so that I could last long walks inside. To add a lil twist to the look, I wore accessories that I think would pretty much stand out and would not make my look dull.

Metallic Flats: Penshoppe

Meet my youngest bro, Angelo :)

Just a lil sharing again... :)

My parents are simple people... and their children doesn't actually dress simply. LOL. My mother once said, "I wonder why you kids dress up like that when your father and I are just simple (saying this in a very casual and cute way)" We really don't know why, but my two brothers and I just want to look and feel good everytime we go out of the house, just like the day these photos were taken. My youngest brother, Angelo, wanted to go to a mall nearby to buy a shirt so Erick and I accompanied him there, but before that, we REALLY had to take outfit shots! I love my brother's fashion sense - Korean-inspired (well, a lot of people say that we do look like Koreans! haha)

Bonding with my brothers is one of the things I really enjoy. Love em so much!

OH, ABOUT THE TITLE: I used this title coz a lot of people say that Angelo and I look really alike and we're the carbon copy of my Father and Grandfather (God bless his soul)

Contrast

Sheer Top: Oxygen

 Necklace: Butingtings

Sequinned Shorts: WAGW

Booties: Primadonna

Photos by: Erick Loquez

It was a very hot afternoon and the sunlight was perfect for a shoot. Erick wanted to try a location in the city where walls were filled with graffiti. I knew the location was too colorful so I wanted to wear a contrasting color that would make me stand out... black. I also wanted an edgy look coz I think the graffiti pretty much reflect angst and coolness. So, I wore this sheer top that I got on sale at Oxygen and a pair of really really cute shorts that immediately caught my attention when I passed WAGW at Abreeza. To add a lil twist, I wore this bib-ish necklace that my grandmother gave me (Oh, how I love her!). And of course, my Primadonna booties never fail to give me that unique and edgy feel.

Erick said I looked sexy in this outfit! haha. Do you agree with him?
